Older specifications

Papers from WJEC’s earlier Physics specifications. Topics overlap, so they’re good extra practice, but check a question is still on your spec before you rely on it.

Using past papers

How to get the most out of WJEC GCSE Physics past papers

  1. 01

Sit it like the real thing.

Timed, by hand, with the formula sheet and nothing else. A paper you peek at teaches you the mark scheme, not the topic.

  2. 02

    Mark it honestly.

Go line by line with the mark scheme. Method marks are where most lost marks hide, so check your working, not just the answer.

  3. 03

Go back to what you dropped.

Your board publishes an examiner report for each paper: it says what most students wrote and why it didn’t score. Redo those questions a week later.
