About Plumi

You write in it the way you would write in any notebook — handwriting, folders per subject, PDFs you can annotate. That part is free and intended to stay free.

The difference is that Plumi can read what you wrote. It marks your working, helps in the margin when you get stuck, keeps track of which topics you have actually demonstrated rather than merely read about, and turns the gaps into short practice sets.

GCSE and A-Level students in the UK, particularly ones doing Maths, Further Maths and Physics on an iPad. If your revision involves working problems out on a page rather than reading a textbook, that is the case Plumi is built around.

Specification coverage is real but uneven — Edexcel Maths 9MA0, OCR Physics H556 and AQA Chemistry 7405 are among the specifications Plumi carries topic data for, with more being added. We would rather say that plainly than claim every board.

The tools a student has are good at separate things and bad at the join. A notes app stores your working and never reads it. A chatbot will help, but only with what you can be bothered to retype, and it forgets you between conversations. A tutor does all of it and costs more per hour than most families can spend every week.

The gap is a notebook that notices. Not one that answers faster, but one that can see the method you actually used, remember it, and know on Tuesday what you got wrong on Sunday. That is the thing we are building.

Plumi has not launched. Every screen on this website is a real development capture rather than a mockup, and nothing here is claimed that the app cannot do — but it is pre-launch software and should be read that way.
